In June 2013, I had a series of multiple heart attacks, resulting in bypass surgery and some unexpected experiences and complications. Simply said, I died three times in five days.
I’ve talked about writing a book about these experiences since then. Last week, I started the process, teaming up with Miles Ramsay at 52Eighty Creative to record a series of discussions that will be transcribed, then assembled into the order I think works best. I’ve identified someone to help edit, and, if everything unfolds like I’d like, I should have a book published later this year. The working title is Dead Three Times in Five Days.
There are several takeaways from what I faced through the process and following surgery. Here are the first three:
Touch someone’s heart.
Hold someone’s hand.
Say I love you.
