I had the honor of emceeing the Kansas Soybean Association luncheon at the Topeka Farm Show today. The program was highlighted with former US Senator Pat Roberts as the keynote speaker. I first met the Senator 30 years ago as a farm broadcaster, so I enjoyed hearing his comments and recalling many of the stories he shared after serving 40 years in the House and Senate.
I’m reminded how often we’re witness to history, yet may not realize the history we’re witnessing until years after the fact!
